<p>It is intended to provide a iron-sulfur protein which is appropriately usable in screening a drug for diseases induced by protozoa belonging to Apicomplexan and evaluating its activity, an electron transporter, a method of measuring the inhibition of electron transporting activity by ferredotoxin originating in the protozoa, etc. Namely, iron-sulfur proteins substantially originating in protozoa belonging to Apicomplexan and characterized by being one of the following (a) and (b): (a) an iron-sulfur protein having an iron-sulfur cluster coordinated therein and comprising the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1; and (b) an iron-sulfur protein having an iron-sulfur cluster coordinated therein, comprising an amino acid sequence derived from the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 by deletion, substitution or addition of one or more amino acids and having an electron transporting activity.</p> |
