A gene comprising the amino acid represented by SEQ ID NO:1 and having a glycine insertion mutation as the 269th amino acid in the sequence is identified as an RA disease sensitive gene on human 8th chromosome. Moreover, it is clarified that the mutation in this gene and its protein relates to the onset of RA so as to establish a method of highly accurately judging the onset of RA or the onset risk thereof, etc.
