The invention relates to an electrical appliance (1) to be mounted on a retainer (2), especially in a motor vehicle. Said electrical appliance is linked with a clevis-type hook (41, 42) and with a snap-in device (36, 50), especially a pawl rocker (35). The snap-in device can be secured by way of a lock (6, 37) so that unauthorized withdrawal of the appliance (1), especiall y a display device (9), is avoided.
