The circular saw (1) incorporates a blower (13) rotatively driven by a motor (12) and a device for aiming an air current produced by the blower so that it extends towards and near to a viewing window (5). The saw blade housing (2) contains side-plates (2A,2B), which cover the saw blade (3) on both sides in the direction of the rotary axis of the blade. The viewing window is formed in one of the side-plates. The air current flows along the one side-plate in order to reach towards and near to the viewing window. The viewing window is formed in a front area of one of the side-plates, this area being arranged on the side which is opposite to the position of an operating person carrying out the sawing process.
