Method of retreiving documents

Method for searching a document base in which documents are inter-connected by embedded links. A list of documents to be processed is sorted according to priority. The document having the highest priority is called up and its separation from the document base is determined. All links form the document are entered into the list of documents to be processed, the separation of the document to the document base being used a priority. Separation refers to the different weightings assigned to documents according to how close they fit a search criteria. The separation is modeled using a vector space model that determines the separation of the current document from the document base or root or head document of a linked document.
