PURPOSE: A composition containing decursinol reducing a blood alcohol level as an effective component is provided. Therefore, the composition inhibits and removes a hangover caused by alcohol consumption. CONSTITUTION: A composition for reducing a hangover containing decursinol separated from an Angelicae Gigantis Radix extract and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The Angelicae Gigantis Radix extract is obtained by extracting Angelicae Gigantis Radix in lower alcohol at 30 to 55deg.C for 30min to 12hr. The Angelicae Gigantis Radix is Angelica gigas Nakai, Angelica acutiloba Kitagawa or Angelica sinensis Diels.
