JAM DETECTOR

PURPOSE: A jam detector is provided to prevent the push target from being damaged by detecting a catching phenomenon when a pushing degree of the push target approaches a predetermined limit value and by stopping the operation of equipment. CONSTITUTION: A body(21) has an L-type cross section, composed of a vertical plate(21a) and a horizontal plate(21b). A reverse L-type bedplate(26) is installed in an end of the horizontal plate so that a horizontal support surface of the reverse L-type bedplate faces the outside of the vertical plate. A load cell(22) is formed in one surface of the vertical plate to face the bedplate. A slide bearing(24) is formed on the horizontal support surface of the bedplate, capable of moving back and forth. A stopper(25) is installed in the outside end of the horizontal support surface to make the slide bearing controlled not to move toward the outside of the vertical plate. A push bar(23) is coupled to the upper surface of the slide bearing, having a bottom plate(27) of a disc type at its one end in contact with the load cell.
