<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition preventing insoluble particles such as pigment particles in an ink composition from precipitating, not requiring stirring for redispersion, and capable of preventing the precipitation even when the insoluble particles having comparatively higher specific gravity are used, or the ink has a low viscosity. <P>SOLUTION: This water-based ink composition contains at least a water-soluble specific gravity-regulating agent, the insoluble particles and water. The water-soluble specific gravity-regulating agent is an oxyacid of a group 4A to 7A element having a density within the range of 4-20 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and/or a salt thereof, preferably, an oxyacid of a group 5A to 6A element having a density within the range of 5-20 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and/or a salt thereof, more preferably, an oxyacid of a group 6A element having a density within the range of 10-20 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and/or a salt thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
