PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a miniature imaging apparatus using an organic EL writing head. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises at least one of imaging stations Y, M, C and K each comprising a charging means 47, an exposure means 1, a developing means 48, and a transfer means 45 arranged around an image carrier 1 and transfers a toner image formed at the imaging station to a transfer medium. An organic EL array exposure head 1 is provided as the exposure means 1 and at least one heat source 34 of the imaging apparatus is disposed on the back side of the organic EL array exposure head 1, i.e., the side opposite to the transfer means 45.
