The servomotor for a motor vehicle brake has a housing with two casing halves (2,3) connected along their edges. A tie rod (15) extends parallel to the motor length and has a stop shoulder (16) on the inner wall (2) of one casing shell. The rod extends through the opposing wall (3) to attach the housing to a master cylinder of the motor and a wall of the vehicle. The rod has a spigot (25) to engage a bush (26) attached to the opposing casing.
