PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably make the optical axis of an optical pickup perpendicular to a disk by employing a simple constitution as to a disk drive performing the reproducing or recording process by clamping and rotating the disk. SOLUTION: The disk drive is furnished with the optical pickup 26 for performing specified processing to the disk 22 clamped by a clamp mechanism 23 and an optical pickup driving mechanism 34 having guide shafts 35, 36 for guiding the movement of this optical pickup 26. The center axis A of bearing parts 26b, 26c supported by the guide shafts 35, 36 arranged on the optical pickup 26 is deviated from the position perpendicular to the optical axis B of light emitted from the optical pickup 26, and the optical axis B of the optical pickup 26 is made almost perpendicular to the disk 22.
