DEVELOPING DEVICE OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A developing device of an electrophotographic printing machine is provided to attach and detach a developing roller to and from the photoconductor drum with the minimum shock. CONSTITUTION: Circular plates(15) rotate on both sides of a photoconductor drum(10) independently from the photoconductor drum, and have at least one or more cam grooves(22a,22b) on outer peripheral surfaces. A housing(5) contains a developing agent. Developing rollers(20) are supported by both side walls of the housing and each has a shaft(17) contacting with the outer peripheral surfaces of the circular plates. The developing rollers gradually move in association with the cam grooves of the circular plates. Elastic members(23) are installed in the rear of the housing for pressurizing the developing rollers toward the photoconductor drum.
