PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display method and device which are inexpensive and have excellent stability in an image display method of displaying images by sealing particles between substrates and moving the particles by generating electric fields between the substrates. SOLUTION: The partitions which are formed to a prescribed partition shape by attaching photoresist films onto the substrates, filling a partition material into the segments between the partitions and the partitions allowing the photoresist film to remain and curing the material are used for the partitions existing between the substrates facing each other.
