<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize the wind velocity distribution of the whole heat exchanger, aim at reduction of the noise resulting from the maximum wind speed so as to increases an air amount according to an amount of the reduced noise, and improve a heat exchanger performance in the air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises an oblong crossing flow fan 2; a front side casing 6 having a front side tongue part 6a in the proximity of a lower front part of the crossing flow fan 2; a back side casing 11 having a back side tongue part 11a in the proximity of the back side of the crossing flow fan 2; and a crossing fin tube type heat exchanger 1 having a lower front heat exchanger 1a, an upper front heat exchanger 1b, and a back heat exchanger 1c. The shortest distance L3 from a representative point 8 of a static pressure minimum area 7 of the crossing flow fan 2 to the back heat exchanger 1c and the shortest distance L1 from the representative point 8 to the lower front heat exchanger 1a are rendered substantially equivalent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
