METHOD FOR PRODUCING LACTAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously producing a lactam under a high temperature and high pressure fluid. SOLUTION: This method for producing the lactam is characterized by introducing an oxime and an acid into the flowing high temperature and high pressure fluid to synthesize the lactam in a high efficiency, and also by continuously producing the lactam from the oxime in a high speed under conditions of≥250°C temperature range and≥15 MPa pressure range of the high temperature and high pressure fluid. The new method for producing the lactam not requiring the neutralization treatment of a large amount of waste concentrated sulfuric acid as observed in the conventional method of using the concentrated sulfuric acid as a catalyst, is provided.
