<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape drive unit in which a level difference caused on a take-up surface of a reel hub of a take-up reel can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the tape drive unit 10, a window part 44 through which a leader pin 24 provided at a tip part of a magnetic tape 12 passes is provided in the reel hub 40 to take up the magnetic tape 12. The leader pin 24 which has entered in the reel hub 40 from the window part 44 is housed and held in the housing recessed part 56 of a clamping member 50. When clamping member 50 holds the leader pin 24, the clamping member 50 half-rotates within the reel hub 40 to advance a clogging part 60 into the window part 44. The tip part surface 62 of the clogging part 60 is formed in the shape of a circular arc corresponding to the outer circumferential surface of the reel hub 40. The tip part surface 62 constitutes the take-up surface to take up the magnetic tape 12 with the outer circumferential surface of the reel hub 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
