PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a word dictionary forming method and word dictionary forming program for efficiently forming word dictionary data for character recognition by reading a character string with indefinite entry position and character number as 'abstract' entered in the remarks column of an accounting form from the result data accumulated in the past. SOLUTION: In a character code string extraction part 11, accounting data are read from an accumulated accounting data file 16, and a character code string is extracted from the abstract data stored in the remarks column. The extracted character code string is edited in a dictionary data forming part 12 to form abstract word dictionary data. The formed abstract word dictionary data are selectively corrected in a dictionary data registration part 13, and registered in a remarks word dictionary 17. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
