PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-fuel ratio control device of an internal combustion engine that calculates the adequate amount of feedback control by estimating accurately the air-fuel ratio after a loss time has elapsed, in air-fuel feedback control in which air-fuel ratio after a loss time is estimated while the loss time compensation control is performed. SOLUTION: This air-fuel ratio control device includes a loss time compensator 222 for performing control of loss time compensation using a plant model representing a plant between fuel injection means and air-fuel ratio detecting means, an S/M control part 221 that calculates the amount of feedback control of the fuel injection means based on the air-fuel ratio in which the loss time that the plant has, has been compensated by the loss time compensator 222, offset correction amount setting parts 225 and 226 that set the offset correction amount for a target air-fuel ratio of the fuel injection means. The amount of control after the amount of the feedback control has been corrected by the offset correction amount into the loss time compensator 222. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
