<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cosmetic capable of preventing aging of the skin and fatigue of the hair. <P>SOLUTION: This cosmetic comprises a water or an organic solvent extract from a mixture of Rhinacanthus nasuta (L) Kurz with Ganoderma lucidum and Houttuynia cordana Thumberg. The cosmetic for preventing the aging of the skin or fatigue of the hair comprises the water or the organic solvent extract from the mixture of the Rhinacanthus nasuta (L) Kurz with Ganoderma lucidum and Houttuynia cordana Thumberg. Thereby, the water and/or organic solvent extract from the mixture of the Rhinacanthus nasuta (L) Kurz with Ganoderma lucidum and Houttuynia cordana Thumberg has an active oxygen scavenging ability.
