LIGHT GUIDE, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, SURFACE-LIKE LIGHT SOURCE, AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity of light guides and to attain efficient illumination by sticking a prism sheet to a light propagation layer.

SOLUTION: The light guide 10 for reflecting linear light made incident from an incident surface Sin by prisms 11a and allowing the reflected light to exit from an outgoing surface Sout is constituted so that the prism sheet 11 on which a prism array consisting of a plurality of prisms 11a is laminated with the light propagation layer 13 having the outgoing surface Sout of the body 10 through an adhesive layer 12. The refractive index Np of the light reflection layer, the refractive index Nt of the layer 13 and the refractive index Nn of the layer 12 are respectively set up so as to satisfy the relation of Nt< Nn≤Np. Consequently, the light guide capable of efficiently illuminating a display element can be manufactured with high productivity.
