BIPHASE MARK REPRODUCING DEVICE AND OPTICAL DISK DRIVE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biphase mark reproducing device and an optical disk drive unit in which an error rate of demodulated data is reduced to a half and ATIP demodulating capability is improved. SOLUTION: The biphase mark reproducing device is provided with a data converting section 105 which cuts out a synchronization code, a data section and an error detecting code section from biphase mark input signals 101 by data cut out signals and demodulates the data of the data section and the error detecting code section. The section 105 is provided with a pattern retrieving means 109 which detects a prescribed error pattern included in the data section and a conversion table 110 which decodes the error pattern by a replacing rule based on biphase mark modulation.
