PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely detect a gate valve, state of opening-closing arranged inside a valve cage 6 with an opening 7, having a valve elements 15 and 34 for opening and closing the opening 7 of the valve cage 6 by moving between an open valve position and a close valve position in an direction approximately parallel to the opening 7 of the valve element 6. SOLUTION: While the valve elements 15 and 34 are arranged to the valve cage 6 in an electrically insulated manner, the valve cage 6 and the valve elements 15 and 34 are supplied with electric load. A detection part 50 is provided to detect the valve elements 15 and 34 state of the opening-closing depending on the change of electrostatic capacity between the valve cage 6 and the valve elements 15 and 34.
