PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-reciprocal circuit element and a communication device in which the development of a crack or crazing on a weld line is reduced and which have high reliability or low fraction defective. SOLUTION: An isolator 1 is composed of a metal case composed of an upper yoke 4 and a lower yoke 8, a permanent magnet 9, a central electrode assembly 10 composed of a ferrite 20 and central electrodes 21-23, a resistor R, capacitor elements C1-C3 for matching and a resin terminal case 3. The lower yoke 8 has right and left side parts 8b and a bottom part 8a and is approximately U-shaped. The side parts 8b of the lower yoke 8 and side parts 4b of the upper yoke 4 are fitted and electrically connected by solder reflow or the like later. A weld line W of the resin terminal case 3 is formed on a side wall 6 where the side parts 8b of the lower yoke 8 are arranged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
