PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method that records information on an information recording medium so that information recording and reproducing apparatuses of different manufacturers and distributors can respectively deliver their distinct and unique functions when each recording and reproducing apparatus reproduces information having been recorded on the information recording medium. SOLUTION: Common information (2001) that can be reproduced by prescribed information reproducing apparatuses is recorded, particular information (2002) that can be reproduced by particular information reproducing apparatuses among the prescribed information reproducing apparatuses, and link information (2003) denoting the relationship between the common information and the particular information is recorded.
