Printing group comprises at least one cylinder pair consisting of a form cylinder (03) and a transfer cylinder (07). The transfer cylinder cooperates with a printing cylinder (28) to apply ink on a web of material (04) guided through the cylinders. The circumference of the transfer cylinder and/or the circumference of the printing cylinder is an integral which is a multiple (with the exception of one) of the circumference of the form cylinder. The transfer cylinder and the form cylinder each have their own drive motor (08) which is mechanically independent from the drive of the other cylinder. Independent claims are also included for alternative printing groups. Preferred Features: An inking system assigned to the form cylinder is rotationally driven by a drive motor mechanically independently of the drive of the form cylinder.
