<p>An apparatus and method for cleaning a sensor tip of an implantable sensor (20) includes a flush sleeve (30) directed towards the sensor tip (23), a fluid conduit (37) in fluid communciation with the flush sleeve (30), where fluid injected into a first end of a flush sleeve (30) surrounding the sensor (20) sprays off the sensor tip (23) through at least one orific (32) located at the second end of the flush sleeve (30). The first end of the flush sleeve (30) contains a fluid conduit (37) and a septum (35) where a needle (100) is used to pierce the septum (35) to inject the fluid into the fluid conduit (37).</p> |
