The motor combination uses 2 multi-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors, with separate primary parts used as stators for the rotary movement and the linear movement. The primary part for the rotary movement lies outside a common cylindrical permanent magnet rotor for both movements, the rotationally symmetrical primary part for the linear movement positioned within the rotor. The permanent magnets for the rotary movement lie on the outside of the rotor and those for the linear movement lie on the inside of the rotor.
