PURPOSE: A socket used for mounting a module is provided to easily mount a module in a socket and detach the module from the socket and remarkably reduce a period of time required for testing a lot of modules. CONSTITUTION: A socket used for mounting a module includes a socket and two latches(20). The socket has a groove(14) into which a conductive pattern formed at the end of the bottom of the module is inserted. Contact pins(12) are arranged in the groove so that a conductive pattern of a PCB is electrically connected with the conductive pattern of the module. Each of the two latches is fixed to the top of each of both ends of the socket and has a protrusion(20a). The end of the protrusion has a semicircular shape. The socket further includes auxiliary latches that are formed at the bottom of both ends of the socket. |
