摘要 PURPOSE: Provided is a wastewater treatment system and method being capable of effectively and simultaneously removing nitrogen and phosphorous and obtaining stable water quality at short hydraulic retention time. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a flow equalization tank and a sequencing batch biofilm reactor, wherein the flow equalization tank simultaneously serves as a flow equalization tank and anaerobic tank, and the sequencing batch biofilm reactor simultaneously serves as a bio-reactor and an anoxic tank, thereby performing denitrification therein. The method comprises the steps of (a) settling sludge in a sequencing batch biofilm reactor(40) at an upper portion of a filter and discharging 50-60 % of decant water, (b) discarding a portion of settled sludge and returning the remainder of the sludge to a flow equalization tank, thereby releasing phosphorous in the sludge under anaerobic condition in the flow equalization tank and removing nitrogen remained in a biofilm of the sequencing batch biofilm reactor by endogenous respiration of microorganism, (c) removing nitrate (NO3) in the sequencing batch biofilm reactor under anoxic condition using organic material contained in raw water introduced from the flow equalization tank, (d) removing the remainder of organic material in the sequencing batch biofilm reactor and inducing phosphorous ingestion and nitrification by aerobic reaction, and (e) settling sludge in the sequencing batch biofilm reactor.
