A remote service providing system that computes a charge according to the frequency of use of the system by each user by connecting the user and a service provider via a communications line. A host computer (1) of a medical institution (A) stores, as a use state of the system by each patient, the number of times of transmission of measurement data from a personal measurement instrument (3) via a communications device (2) and the number of times that the host computer (1) sent instructive messages of a doctor.
