APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS OF CARBON NANOTUBE USING INVERSE DIFFUSION FLAME

PURPOSE: Provided are an apparatus and a method for synthesis of carbon nanotube by making inverse diffusion flame using oxidizer, fuel and ambient gas, without making vacuum environment. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of synthesizing a carbon nanotube by making inverse diffusion flame(10) which is consisted of an oxidizer(1), fuel(2) surrounding the oxidizer(1), and ambient gas(3) surrounding the fuel(2) to intercept air, thereby synthesizing carbon nanotube without vacuum condition. The apparatus includes a combustor(9) with an oxidizer inlet for receiving oxidizer(1) therethrough, a fuel inlet for receiving fuel(2) therethrough, and an ambient gas inlet for receiving ambient gas(3) therethrough to make an inverse diffusion flame(10) being consisted of an oxidizer(1), fuel(2) surrounding the oxidizer(1), and ambient gas(3) surrounding the fuel to intercept air.
