[Class 108 (iii).] Means for attaching an elastic joint, which may be of the " silentbloc " type, within the eye 3 of a laminated vehicle-suspension spring include a sleeve 4, spot or seam welded or soldered or flanged as at 10, 11, Fig. 3, to the eye 3 and into which the outer sleeve 6 of the joint is forced to be held therein by friction. In one form the joint comprises the outer sleeve 6, an inner sleeve 7 and a rubber insert 8 pressed therein. The inner sleeve 7 is provided with a keyway to facilitate attachment to a pin carried on the vehicle frame. |
