PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation for moving a top plate and to prevent an operator from bumping his or her head against an X-ray irradiation part in the operation. SOLUTION: This X-ray equipment is composed of an examining table 22 for placing a subject on the top plate 23; an X-ray irradiation part 11 for irradiating the subject placed on the top plate 23, with X-rays from above the top plate 23; a photographing part 21 arranged to allow the incidence of X-rays at the lower face of the top plate 23 of the examining table 22; top plate moving switches 38, 39 arranged near the base part of an operating handle at the front face of the X-ray irradiation part 11; and a motor 33, pinions 34, rails 37 with racks, guide wheels 32 and guide rails 36 for moving the top plate 23 in the short side direction of the examining table 22 in response to the operation of the switches 38, 39.
