<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three piece golf ball having good resilience and good ball release and improved in carry by a high striking angle and a low rate of spin in initial flying property while maintaining good ball striking feeling even when hitting at a slow head speed. <P>SOLUTION: In the three piece solid golf ball comprising a center (1), intermediate layer (2), and a cover (3) and in which a lot of dimples are formed on the surface of the cover, a hardness distribution within the center; hardness distributions among the center surface layer, the intermediate layer and the cover layer; and ball surface area occupancy rate and the total sum of the contour length of the dimples are defined within predetermined ranges. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
