PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chucking device capable of making an optical information recording and playback device small and thin and surely performing the centering of a disk for information recording. SOLUTION: In the chucking device used to place the disk 1 for information recording with one opening of a central hole 2 covered with a metallic plate 3 on a rotational driver provided with a rotating shaft 6, having a turntable 10, a centering member 20, a magnet 9 and an annular elastic member 30 and for adjusting the position of the disk 1 with respect to the rotating shaft in an axial direction and a radial direction by moving the disk 1 and the centering member toward the turntable 10 with attracting force caused by the magnet 9, a slope surface 13 formed so as to make the depth of a recessed part 11 larger in accordance with the separation made from the rotating shaft 6 is provided at a part that is allowed to come into contact with the elastic member 30 at the bottom 11b of the recessed part 11.
