PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform track servo acquisition even in the presence of dust, a fingerprint, etc., on a disk in an optical disk drive. SOLUTION: The optical disk drive has two systems 19 and 20 of track servo phase compensating means installed and is so constituted 21 that they are switched according to whether track servo acquisition 23 is performed or not (in reproduction). Further, a characteristic of the phase compensating means in the track servo acquisition is such that the lowest frequency band gain is made lower than a phase compensating means characteristic in reproduction. Consequently, the servo track servo acquisition is performed even in the presence of dust, a fingerprint, etc., on the disk during the track servo acquisition without causing an out-of-servo state in the worst due to uncontrollable servo.
