PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver with picture recording functions which can easily extract contents of wanted programs being recorded from a plurality of the specified contents being recorded even though the unwanted programs are recorded. SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver is equipped with a receiving unit 1, a program information acquisition unit 2 to acquire program information from the receiving unit 1, a program acquisition unit 3 to acquire the programs from received signals, and a picture recording information memory unit 4 to record a specified part of the program acquired by the program acquisition unit 3 using an operation to instruct recording the programs. The broadcasting receiver is also equipped with a generating unit 7 for selecting conditions, which generates selection conditions to represent characteristics of the contents for the wanted programs using an input operation, a program information selecting unit 6 to select the program information for the characteristics of the contents, which is generated by the generating unit 7 for selecting the conditions after obtaining the program information through the program information acquisition unit 2, a picture recording information selection unit 9 to select, from the picture recording information memory unit 4, recorded contents corresponding to the program information selected by the program information selecting unit 6, and a display unit 10 to display picture recording information selected by the picture recording information selection unit 9.
