PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal with a personal information transmitting/receiving function capable of automatically transmitting personal information, and easily rewriting the received personal information. SOLUTION: The address information of the other party is held in a buffer 21. A comparing means 32 compares the address information held in the buffer 21 with address information registered in a telephone book 23. When those address information is matched as the comparison result, the preliminarily stored personal information of the user is transmitted, and when the address information is not matched, the transmission of the personal information is stopped. In addition, at the time of registering the received personal information, the received personal information is held in the buffer 21, and the personal information data held in the buffer 21 are compared with the personal information data registered in the telephone book, and the mismatched data are rewritten based on the comparison result.
