PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outline preparation supporting device capable of efficiently preparing an outline for which logical text development is required. SOLUTION: This outline preparation supporting device for supporting a work at the time of preparing the outline of a document is provided with an outline template storing means 2 for storing a plurality of templates for outline preparation, an outline example storing means 3 for storing a plurality of outline examples, a designating means 1 for designating a retrieval condition at the time of retrieving the outline template, an outline template retrieving means 4 for retrieving the outline template matched with the retrieval condition designated by the designating means 1, an outline example retrieving means 5 for retrieving an example sentence for each constituting sentence of the outline template retrieved by the outline template retrieving means 4 from the outline example storing means 3, and an outline preparing means 6 for preparing the target outline based on the outline example and the example sentence retrieved by the outline example retrieving means 5.
