PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform communication with a corresponding protocol by acquiring protocol information and an address corresponding to counter equipment by simple operation.

SOLUTION: Equipment (1) 1 is provided with a non-contact IC interface 2 for requesting corresponding protocol information 8 to equipment (2) 4 within a prescribed communication area in a network, an IEEE802. 11b interface 3 for performing transmitting signal processing and received signal processing, a trial communication means for performing a trial communication by using the IEEE802. 11b interface 3, and a communication means for performing the communication with the protocol of the acquired protocol information 8 when the trial communication by the trial communication means is enabled.
