PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush holding device capable of making a brush abut on a commutator without using assembling/entering operation of an armature, at a lower cost. SOLUTION: A brush holding device 30 comprises a brush 31, a brush holder 32, a torsion spring 33, and a support pin 34. The torsion spring 33 temporarily holds the brush 31 in the brush holder 32 by applying sidewise pressure to the brush 31 with the spring force around the support pin 34. If the temporary holding of the brush 31 is released, the spring force of the torsion spring 33 so acts as to pressurize the brush 31 toward the commutator side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
