PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute various kinds of electronic settlements without conducting troublesome work such as change of setting direction and change of setting, for example, corresponding to the kind of data stored in a card. SOLUTION: In this card processor for reading the data stored in a magnetic stripe provided in the card conveyed in a card passage 18, with a magnetic head, and for reading/writing the data from/to an IC chip provided in the card conveyed to a connection position, by a reader-writer part, opening parts 16, 17 are provided in a front face and a backface of a casing 15, and the card is made to be inserted into the backface opening part 17 along a direction contrary to the insertion direction of the card into the front opening part 16.
