<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation for selecting a required menu item among a plurality of information providing menu items (hereinafter referred to as a menu item). <P>SOLUTION: In this information providing system, among a plurality of menu items displayed on a display image screen of a car navigation device 10, an acquisition request signal of information on the menu item selected by a user is transmitted to an information center 20 from the car navigation device 10, and the information center 20 receiving the acquisition request signal transmits the information on the required menu item to the car navigation device 10.
