A silver halide color photographic material has in at least1 low- or medium-sensitivity layer a mixture of at least2 silver-bromideiodide or -bromidechlorideiodide emulsions with different particle sizes and iodide contents, the particle size difference being at least0.05mu and the coarser emulsion having a maximum of 10 mol.% iodide content and at least1.5 mol.% higher iodide content than the finer emulsion and each emulsion making up at least5 mol.% of the silver halide in each layer. A silver halide color photographic emulsion material with at least2 blue-sensitive, yellow coupler-containing layers and also at least2 green (magenta coupler-containing)- and at least2 red (cyan coupler-containing)-sensitive layers, with each member of each set of different sensitivities, has in at least1 low- or medium-sensitivity layer a mixture of at least2 silver-bromideiodide or -bromidechlorideiodide emulsions with different particle sizes and iodide contents, the particle size difference being at least0.05mu and the coarser emulsion containing a maximum of 10 mol.% iodide and having a at least1.5 mol.% higher iodide content than the finer emulsion and each emulsion making up at least5 mol.% of the silver halide in each layer.
