<p>A dullish coated paper for printing, wherein it is prepared by a method comprising providing a base paper containing an organic compound exhibiting the effect of interfering with the bonding between fibers of a pulp, forming a coating layer containing a pigment and an adhesive on the base paper, and subjecting the coated paper to a calendering treatment at a treating line pressure of 50 to 150 kg/cm, and it has a density of 0.90 to 1.15 g/cm3. The dullish coated paper has a high bulkiness (low density), is excellent in flexibility, exhibits high surface smoothness and high printing gloss, and is reduced in fine irregularities in gloss in a printed portion.</p> |
