The suction unit, for attachment to a tool, has a suction chamber (3) with a number of openings (32) for air to be sucked in, connected to an underpressure supply for the suction, to be activated in a tool. A replaceable intermediate piece (2) is fitted to the suction chamber, as an underpressure supply connection, with the tool attached to a shaft (8) through the intermediate piece. A handgrip (1) can be mounted at the intermediate piece. A rubber suction collar (31) is fitted at the free opening of the suction chamber.
