The vehicle has a damper (12) for its rear axle. A reinforcing strut (5) runs parallel to the rear wall (3) of the wheel well (1). The reinforcing strut is connected to a longitudinal bearer (4). The superstructure-side end of the damper is located between the reinforcing rod and the rear wall of the wheel well, keeping the damper fixed to the vehicle.
