MATERIAL ADVANCING DEVICE

The invention relates to sewing engineering and can be used for advancing material on automatic and semi-automatic embroidery machines and on embroidery attachments to sewing machines. The inventive material advancing device comprises a movable guide (1) provided with a working carriage (2) and at least one fixed guide (3) provided with a transport carriage (4), said carriages being arranged perpendicularly with respect to each other, an embroidery frame (5) rigidly connected to the working carriage (2), and the controlled electric drives (2 and 4) of said carriages provided with advancing mechanisms and electric motors (6 and 7). The movable guide (1) is arranged in such a way that it is displaceable along the fixed guide (3) and with respect to the electric motor (6) of the working carriage (2). The novelty of the invention lies in that the electric motor (6) is mounted in such a way that it is displaceable in a parallel direction with respect to the fixed guide (3). In the preferred embodiment, said electric motor is linked to an additional controlled electric drive. The absolute value of displacement of the movable guide (1) with respect to the electric motor (6) of the working carriage (2) is selected such that it is greater then the specified stitch length.
