<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap, which provides sufficient sealing performance when a container is filled with a content liquid, and prevents an excessive increase of the internal pressure of the container when the cap is opened and then closed again. <P>SOLUTION: The cap comprises the cap body 4 having a ceiling plate 2 and a cylinder 3 formed vertically downward on the periphery of the ceiling plate 2, and a liner 5 provided on the interior of the cap body 4. The liner 5 comprises an annular inner seal projection 12 in contact with the interior surface of the container 21, and an annular outer seal projection 13 in contact with the exterior surface of the container 21. The seal projections are arranged in such a way that the contact length A between the inner surface 24a of the opening end of the container mouth 21a and the inner seal projection 12 is larger than the contact length B between the outer surface 24b of the opening end and the outer seal projection 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
