<p>An exerciser includes a post 62 pivotally secured on a base 10 and movable either forward or rearward to simulate a down hill riding exercising or an upward climbing exercising. A lever 17 may have one end pivotally secured to the post 62, and the other end coupled to a foot pedal 3 -and-crank 31 actuated spindle 15 via a gear transmission 2. A rotatable flywheel 5 maybe coupled to the spindle 15 by means of a chain 4 and sprockets 41, 42. A resistive strap 51 maybe partially engaged over the flywheel 5 and coupled to the post 62 so as to be released from and to be further forced against the flywheel when the post is rotated forward and rearward, thus applying respectively less of greater force against the flywheel, similar to downhill and uphill riding.</p> |
